Here’s How To Find The Perfect Frames for Your Eyeglasses

If you wear glasses, you know that finding the perfect pair of frames can be a real challenge. With so many different shapes, sizes, and styles to choose from, it's tough to know where to even start. But don't worry—we're here to help!

In this blog post, we'll walk you through everything you need to know about finding the perfect frames for your
eyeglasses . We'll cover face shape, skin tone, and personality so that you can find a pair of frames that truly represent who you are. Keep reading to learn more!

Identify Your Face Shape

One of the most important things to consider when choosing your frames is your face shape. After all, not all frames will suit every face shape equally.

There are four main types of face shapes: oval, square, round, and heart. The easiest way to determine your face shape is to take a photo of yourself from straight on. Make sure to pull your hair back so that your whole face is visible.

Then, trace the outline of your face with a marker. Once you have the outline of your face shape, compare it to the descriptions below to determine which category you fall into.

Frames That Suit Each Face Shape

Here are some common face shapes and the types of frames that flatter them:

Oval: If your face is oval-shaped, you're in luck! This is considered the ideal face shape because it's well-proportioned and easy to fit with frames. Just about any style of frame will look good on an oval face, so feel free to experiment until you find a pair that you love!

Square: A square face is characterized by a strong jawline and angular features. The best frames for a square face are those that soften the angles and help create the illusion of an oval shape. Try round or cat-eye frames for a flattering look.

Round: If your face is round, you'll want to choose frames that make it appear longer and thinner. Look for frames with sharp angles and straight lines—avoid anything too rounded or soft. Cat-eye and rectangular frames are often good choices for round faces.

Heart: A heart-shaped face is characterized by a wide forehead and cheekbones tapering down to a small chin. The best frames for heart-shaped faces balance out the upper half of the face with some width at the bottom. Look for cat-eye or oval-shaped frames—just make sure they're not too big or they'll overwhelm your small chin.

Choose the Colours That Complement Your Skin Tone

In addition to considering your face shape, it's also important to choose colours that complement your skin tone when selecting your eyeglass frames. There are three basic skin tones: warm, cool, and neutral.

To figure out which category you fall into, take a look at the veins in your wrist - if they appear greenish, you have warm undertones; if they appear bluish, you have cool undertones; if they're somewhere in between (or if you can't really tell), then you have neutral undertones. When choosing frame colours that complement your skin tone, here are some general guidelines to follow:

Show Your Personality

Your eyeglasses are one of the easiest ways to show off your personality - so have fun with them! If you typically dress conservatively for work but like to let loose on weekends, try a funky pair of frames in a bright colour or bold pattern. Or if you're an introvert who's looking for a way to express yourself without saying a word, statement glasses might be just what you need.

At the end of the day, there are no wrong answers - just make sure you choose something that makes YOU happy!
